Movie Advertisements

Typography

This is a great example of point of purchase. When you go to the movies to see one movie your hit with all these cool posters for other movies coming out. This is a way to ensure that you come back to see them. Most of the time they are placed outside the theater, so you see them even before you go in. The posters get you ready for the trailers that you see before the movie. Usually these posters have the main characters face on it and the typography is usually big and bold so that you notice it right away. Sometimes they even have a backlight behind them so they light up and catch your eye at night. So whether is the posters outside, the giant cutout advertisements inside or the trailers before the movie, you are being hit with all there advertising before you even get what you came for. Great for point of purchase.
