Macy's is a famous department store known nation wide, its so famous that its used in the thanksgiving day parade. I think this logo is extremely successful, the simple symbol of the star is great, its something everyone knows and can relate to. The simple color scheme is amazing, I really like that they used red for the star, it draws people in and red catches everyones eye right away so you cant miss it. I like the typography in this logo too, I think the choice to have it all lowercase is good because the star is so strong that if the letters were in uppercase they may be fighting with the power of the star. The star as the apostrophe is a nice touch as well. Good Job Macy's.
